Warrant: Explain & analyze how your data supports your claim unpack the data. 2-3 sentences Do not put.. I think... I believe... In my opinion... No you or your. Write in the objective third person (e.g. he, scientist, the scientific community, studies, ect.) 
Counterclaim: Present an opinion opposite from your own (*use a cue) Ex: Scientist at UCLA argue that... Some scientist argue...
Rebuttal: Present another piece of data (a quote from an expert or # / % from a study) to prove the counterclaim is not as strong as your initial claim. Explain & analyze how that data refuses or weakens the counterclaim. 3 sentences
Concluding Statement: Restate your main point in different words. 

Things Tucker Hates...

1. The word "things" & all the other boring words.
2. Contractions like can't which are not formal. I never ever want to see them in your writing... like EVER.
3. Tired over used verbs like "show". Agh. The worst!
4. Sentences that begin with "so" It's a transitional crunch.
5. "I'm going to write about..." I'm reading your writing so I know what you're writing about. Just say it.
